Janet Jackson turned heads with a striking fashion choice as she arrived on the red carpet at the Grammy Hall of Fame gala in Beverly Hills on Friday evening. The music icon was there to celebrate the induction of her groundbreaking 1989 album, Rhythm Nation 1814.
The 59-year-old singer embraced oversized tailoring for the occasion, stepping out in a gray pinstripe suit featuring wide-leg trousers and an elongated blazer. She paired the dramatic ensemble with a crisp white button-up shirt complete with an exaggerated collar, while a loosely tied scarf added an extra touch of flair.

Janet completed the look with pointed black heels, dangling gold earrings, and a vibrant splash of orange nail polish. Her glamorous makeup highlighted her features with rosy blush tones, while her voluminous curls cascaded down her back.

The evening marked a major milestone for the superstar, as Rhythm Nation 1814 officially joined the Grammy Hall of Fame. Her late brother Michael Jackson had previously received the same honor for his legendary albums Off the Wall and Thriller, while several Jackson Five classics, including “ABC,” “I Want You Back,” and “I’ll Be There,” were also inducted over the years.

Janet’s appearance came shortly after news emerged that she chose not to be portrayed in the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic. Although several of her siblings — including Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and La Toya — appear in the film, Janet, along with Rebbie and Randy Jackson, does not.
La Toya Jackson later explained that Janet respectfully declined director Antoine Fuqua’s invitation to participate. Fuqua expressed his admiration for the singer, noting that she remains supportive of her nephew Jaafar Jackson, who takes on the role of Michael in the highly anticipated film.

Outside of her own achievements, Janet recently used social media to celebrate two important family birthdays. She shared a heartfelt tribute to her mother Katherine Jackson on her 96th birthday, calling her “the queen of queens” and praising her wisdom, faith, and unwavering love.

She also honored her brother Jackie Jackson with an emotional message, telling him he was loved “more than words can say” while wishing him peace, happiness, and joy.
