Dyan Cannon, one of Hollywood’s most enduring screen icons, was recently seen in Los Angeles at 89, appearing relaxed and youthful during a casual outing with a friend.
The Oscar-nominated actress first rose to prominence after starring in the acclaimed 1969 film alongside Natalie Wood and Elliott Gould, which helped establish her as a major Hollywood talent throughout the 1970s and 1980s.

Even before her rise to fame, Cannon was widely known for her high-profile marriage to legendary actor Cary Grant, who was more than three decades older than her. The couple wed in 1965 and welcomed a daughter, Jennifer, before divorcing in 1968.
Following their split, Cannon’s career flourished as she became a sought-after leading lady, working with major stars such as Warren Beatty, Sean Connery and Burt Reynolds. Her performance in the counterculture classic Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice earned her an Academy Award nomination and cemented her reputation in Hollywood.

She later added to her accolades with roles in The Anderson Tapes and Such Good Friends, as well as additional Oscar nominations, including for her work in Warren Beatty’s Heaven Can Wait.

Cannon also became known for her colorful personal life, including a widely discussed romance with talk show host Johnny Carson, and a brief second marriage to businessman Stanley Fimberg, which ended in 1991. Over the years, she has been linked to several other public figures from the entertainment industry.

In more recent years, Cannon has largely stepped back from acting but remains in the public eye for her candidness about her personal life. In 2011, she released her memoir Dear Cary: My Life With Cary Grant, which became a bestseller and offered an intimate look at her marriage to the Hollywood legend.
Despite her age, Cannon continues to make occasional public appearances, and last year she surprised fans by openly discussing her active dating life, revealing that she enjoys maintaining multiple “friends with benefits” relationships while keeping things light and uncomplicated.
