Jaylynn and Chris Stringer began imagining a second child as soon as their eldest daughter, Aria, started school. With Aria away at class, their home felt quieter and less lively. In the spring of 2021, they received the joyous news that they were expecting another baby. Despite some mild illness during the pregnancy, everything seemed to be progressing smoothly.

However, at the 20-week ultrasound, the couple received unexpected news. Their unborn daughter, Amaya, showed several developmental issues. Her legs weren’t developing properly, and there were concerns about her ears.

The doctors couldn’t predict exactly what she would look like when born. Jaylynn and Chris were faced with a tough decision: to terminate the pregnancy or to embrace the reality that their daughter would be born with special needs and require extra care.

Without hesitation, they chose the path of love and acceptance. On December 17, 2021, Amaya was born without legs and with hearing issues. Her big sister Aria eagerly took on caregiving duties, while their parents adjusted the home to better suit Amaya’s needs.

To help Amaya grow and reach typical childhood milestones, the Stringer family made many changes and adjustments. Now, at nearly three years old, Amaya has over 360,000 followers who watch her journey. With the support of her loving fans, Amaya wants for nothing. The family enjoys traveling and shares photos of their smiling, joyful daughter.

This beautiful story is made possible by the unconditional love and the wise decisions made by her parents, who chose the path of love, acceptance, and support for their extraordinary daughter.
