šŸ˜±šŸ’”The flight attendant suspected something was wrong when she saw a young woman with an older man and found a three-word note in the bathroom after takeoff.

When the man and the teenager boarded the flight from Seattle to San Francisco, Alaska Airlines flight attendant Shelia Frederick became suspicious.

The man was dressed elegantly, while the girl wasn’t, and she refused to make eye contact with anyone. As Shelia went about her duties on the plane, she couldn’t stop thinking about the girl.

Eventually, she came up with a brilliant plan that required real courage—courage that ultimately saved the young girl from a dangerous situation.

Shelia couldn’t ignore the girl and desperately tried to make eye contact with her while distributing snacks on board. She shared her suspicions with a colleague, and together they developed a plan to distract the man while Shelia tried to get the girl’s attention.

“Eventually, she looked up, and the expression in her eyes was just heartbreaking, so I apologized, went back, and just started crying,” Shelia said in an interview with Good Morning Britain. She came up with a clever plan: she left a note and a pen in one of the airplane’s bathrooms and locked it so it could only be opened by the girl.

While her colleague distracted the man, Shelia pointed to the bathroom, pretending to write something. She then waited and hoped the girl would understand.

She left the note and pen in the bathroom.

Fortunately, the girl apologized and said she needed to use the restroom.

The man stayed outside near the bathroom, but Shelia refused to leave and kept her eyes on him.

ā€œI left the note in one of the bathrooms,ā€ Shelia said. ā€œShe replied to the note with the words: ā€˜I need help.ā€™ā€

Shelia alerted the pilot, who contacted air traffic control to have authorities detain the man when the plane landed.

Shelia continued to stay in touch with the young woman she saved from human trafficking, and over the years, they spoke several times.

Now, the young woman is even attending college, reports Western Journal.
