I saw an ad for the sale of an old wardrobe that was in terrible condition 🤔 In a few days, I remade the wardrobe with my own hands beyond recognition 😲 Now this wardrobe occupies a place of honor in the hallway, serves to store tools and building materials ☺️ Take a look and appreciate what a wonderful result I got ⬇️⬇️

This cabinet could have become fuel for the stove, but thanks to my enthusiasm and work it turned into a real pearl of the interior.
Having seen the ad “I’ll just give it away for firewood”, I immediately sent my husband to get this treasure. In the evening the wardrobe was already at our house.
Its construction was a pleasant surprise: the legs and top are made of solid beech, and the doors are made of durable beech veneer. Despite the cracks and signs of time, the cabinet promised to be a great project.

First, I cleaned it thoroughly, treated it for insects, and removed the old varnish. I sanded the peeling varnish and fixed the cracked veneer with glue.
I fixed all the minor defects with wood filler, as I was planning to paint the cabinet.

For the legs and door parts I chose oil with wax, and for the side walls and doors I chose acrylic paint with grout and dyes.
After two coats of paint and some sanding to even out the surface, I applied a final coat of acrylic varnish.

Now this cabinet takes pride of place in the hallway, serves to store tools and building materials. Thanks to its compact size, it fits perfectly into the space and continues to please with its updated appearance.
