A woman picked up an old chest of drawers without drawers from a dumpster and decided to update it for her porch.
To do this, she removed the old coating with Fairy and a metal sponge. Since the wood was not very valuable, she decided to paint the chest of drawers, and the missing drawers needed to be replaced.
After sanding down the imperfections and degreasing the surface, she painted the interior shelves the leftover color from the shoe rack and the exterior Moss Green.
Although the paint was acrylic enamel, its consistency resembled alkyd and it was applied to the surface perfectly in two layers. To hide the joint from above, I used a wooden baseboard and putty.
Since there were no drawers, the woman made doors from the casing, but the wood she bought in the summer dried out and the doors became slightly warped.
She attached metal mesh to the door fronts, painting it gold, and finished the project with vintage brass handles and hinges.
The chest of drawers turned out stylish and is ideal for the veranda, but perhaps its place will be not only on the veranda, but also in another place in the house.
