He was once a popular comedy actor, but gave up his career for the sake of his family: the beloved actor is no longer recognizable

In the 1980s, he was a very popular comedian and starred in many famous films, 😍 but in 1991, after his wife passed away, he quit his career to raise his children 😢 Now the beloved actor is 71 years old, and he has become almost unrecognizable 😯😯 Have you guessed who he is? If not, here is the answer ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Rick Moranis, whose full name is Frederick Alan Moranis, has always been in the spotlight for his unique comedic style and quirky characters.

He became popular thanks to films such as Ghostbusters, Earth Defenders Club, Little Shop of Horrors, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and its sequels.

Moranis also starred in the cult film Spaceballs.

However, despite his dizzying success in Hollywood, in 1991 Rick faced tragedy – his wife, Ann Bell, died of cancer.

Struggling to balance his career and his role as a single father, Moranis gradually began to turn down roles and by 1997 had retired from acting entirely to devote himself to raising his two children.

He chose his personal life over his career, deciding that his children needed him more than the audience.

Rick really did become almost unrecognizable as he aged: only memories remained of his former screen image. His lifestyle became noticeably more secluded, and he rarely appeared in public.

He has occasionally accepted voice roles and small comedy projects in recent years, but has not returned to the screen.

It wasn’t until 2020 that he made a surprise appearance in an advert with actor Ryan Reynolds, much to the delight of fans.
