The new owner, a young woman, collaborated with a designer to transform a once-dull three-room apartment into a vintage haven. Before the renovation, the apartment had decaying parquet floors, faded wallpaper, and peeling paint.
However, the new owner decided to breathe new life into the space while preserving its historical charm. The living room blends olive and salmon hues, featuring vintage Hera armchairs from the GDR. There’s also a small work nook. The kitchen, separate from the living room, has a wide opening, creating a “social effect.” It’s furnished with Czechoslovakian dining chairs from the ’60s, while the custom-made kitchen set was crafted by a local carpentry workshop.
The bedroom is serene, decorated in calming beige tones and highlighted by an unusual bay window. It also features a spacious dressing room. The bathroom, with tiles matching those in the kitchen, includes a bathtub rather than a shower and is adorned with stylish accessories. The hallway houses a large wardrobe for outerwear.
