“Eight thousand bottles of champagne and a vivid imagination”: a man chose a unique way to build a cottage

Vladimir Sysa, a resident of Zaporozhye, built a unique house using champagne bottles as the main building material.

The idea to create a glass palace came to Vladimir back in the 1980s, when he saw a photo of an unusual house made of glass containers. Inspired by this, he decided to collect empty bottles and make his project a reality.

Over the course of 20 years, Sysa collected 8,000 bottles, searching for them in a variety of places: restaurants, parks, public events, and even trash cans. Despite the difficulties in finding such an unusual material, he did not give up and continued his work.

The result of his persistence was an extraordinary house on a country plot, which turned into a real architectural miracle, not only functional, but also aesthetically beautiful.

In addition, the glass structure has excellent thermal characteristics: the air in the bottles retains heat in winter and coolness in summer, providing a comfortable microclimate in the house all year round.

This amazing creation attracted the attention of buyers offering large sums for the house. However, Sysa refused to sell it, because for him this project was not only the result of labor, but also the embodiment of love and dedication to his work.
