At 39, Amanda Seyfried has an impressive filmography to her name, and one unfortunate incident that happened at the 2023 Critics Choice Awards. The actress recalled it during a recent interview with People magazine.
I had this amazing vintage dress on. I asked my stylist to dress me in it before I went out, just for fun,” she said of the vintage Dior dress she wore that night. “It was kind of put together in pieces, probably in a hurry, so it literally started falling apart, falling off me on the red carpet. I think I even said in interviews that it was tearing.”
The gold off-the-shoulder dress with a sheer mesh bust area survived the photo shoot, but, Amanda recalls, let her down at the most inopportune moment.
I was talking to Glen Powell in the corner near my table, we were joking about something. Then I raised my hands, and my breasts just fell out, and the dress came apart at the seam. We both screamed, and Glenn, like a true gentleman, covered me. He wasn’t looking… I think. Neither of us expected it, but this dress really gave in.
The unfortunate choice of outfit, however, did not prevent the star from receiving an award for her role in the series “Eliminated”. Seyfried came out on stage wearing a black leather jacket thrown over her dress, borrowed from one of her colleagues.
