The 53-year-old actress seriously injured her co-star during filming. Jennifer Garner has apologized for the incident.
American actress Jennifer Garner admitted that she bit off a piece of her co-star’s ear while filming The Kingdom in 2007. The incident occurred during a fight scene, when Garner and stuntwoman Sala Baker were performing the scene under the direction of director Pete Berg.
According to the actress, the director insisted she act as if she were in real danger. “We didn’t have any rigid choreography,” Garner said. “He told me to do whatever it took to survive. I did everything he told me to, and I ended up climbing on his back. I bit his ear, and we have a photo where he’s missing a chunk of his ear.”
Almost 20 years later, Garner and Baker found themselves back on set, on the series “The Last Thing He Told Me.” There, they found themselves in a fight again. In one scene, Baker’s character breaks into Garner’s home, and when she fails to escape, a violent brawl ensues.
This so impressed the crew that they asked Baker to be more careful around the actress. To which the screen star replied, “No, no, no, he won’t be careful. I won’t be careful. Just back off. We have our own scores to settle.”
She spoke about the biting incident at an Apple TV event in Santa Monica, attended by Nicolas Coster-Waldau, who starred in the series “The Last Thing He Told Me.” The actor asked in surprise, “You bit off a piece of his ear?” and Garner confirmed, “Like Mike Tyson.” The actress added humorously, “Don’t make me angry. I seem nice. But I already warned you.”
The series “The Last Thing He Said to Me” premiered in 2023. It tells the story of a woman named Hannah whose husband, Owen, disappears. While she tries to find him, everyone around her assumes he’s not who he seems.
The second season of the series will premiere on February 20. According to the trailer, Owen returns after five years, and Hannah and her stepdaughter Bailey try to figure out how to bring their family back together without the past catching up with them.
Jennifer Garner was Ben Affleck’s wife for ten years. They divorced in 2015. The former lovers have three children : Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and son Samuel, 13.
Garner recently made a shocking confession about her career, revealing that she deliberately sexualized her image to achieve fame in Hollywood.
