Instead of throwing away an old, unnecessary baby crib, we decided to make an interesting thing for the garden out of it 😲 We took the headboards of the crib and put them upright – they became side supports, reinforced the bottom of the crib between them, and secured the lattice sides at the back 😲😱 The result was amazing 😍 I’m showing what we made from the crib in the first comment 👇👇

One day in the yard we noticed that someone had thrown out a baby crib. It was disassembled into parts: here were the sides with slatted walls, here was the bottom with a plywood base, and here were the backs with rounded edges.
Someone just piled it all up next to the trash containers. We looked at each other – what a shame for such a thing! And then an idea came to mind: what if we make a bench out of it for the yard?

All the necessary materials were at hand. There were screws lying around in the shed, a drill was found at a neighbor’s, and some paint and varnish were in the garage. All that was needed was to connect the parts of the crib together and give them a new meaning.
First, we took the headboards of the bed and placed them vertically – they became the side supports of the bench. The bottom of the crib was strengthened between them, making a seat out of it.

The lattice sides came in handy for the back – they were secured at the back to create a comfortable backrest.
Once the frame was ready, we sanded the wood, painted the bench white and varnished it to make it last longer. For comfort, we put a pillow on top that one of the neighbors donated.

Now our bench stands under a tree in the yard, and everyone enjoys relaxing on it. And we smile, looking at it, because not long ago it was just an old baby cat, which was given a second life.
