This old chest of drawers served my parents’ home for many years, occupying an important place in their interior. When they decided to renovate it, it became clear that its style no longer fit into modern design.
It was originally made in a vintage style, which, of course, looked good in a country house or in an old interior, but in a new setting it looked a bit outdated.
But it was a pity to throw it away. It was not just furniture, but a part of family history. Then we decided to give the chest of drawers a second life.
We left it as is on the outside, but updated it a bit with paint. We chose a tone that matched the new interior and carefully applied several coats.
After a few small changes, the dresser was literally transformed. The added gold details had to be thoroughly cleaned and refreshed, but the result was worth it.
The chest of drawers has become much more elegant, retaining its history, but fitting perfectly into a modern interior.
The parents were very pleased with the result. This simple but effective restoration process showed how even old things can find a new life, while remaining important and beautiful elements in the home.
