We built a real house from ordinary firewood 😲 It turned out much cheaper, more environmentally friendly and more aesthetically pleasing 😱 The house is warm in winter and cool in summer 🥰 I’ll show you what we got at the link in the comments 👇 👇

How to build a house from firewood?
At first glance, the idea seems unusual, but in reality everything is extremely simple and effective. The main thing is to properly prepare the foundation.
A massive concrete monolith is not required: a rubble strip foundation with a depth of only 40–50 cm is sufficient.

This makes the construction process easy and accessible even for those who have never picked up construction tools. It can be said that such construction resembles the construction of a strong but light sand castle.
The next stage is the construction of the walls. For this, firewood of about 40 cm in length is used. It is placed in a mixture of clay and finely chopped straw.
This composition not only ensures reliability, but also creates an excellent heat-insulating layer.
For additional insulation, small air pockets are left between the layers of clay mortar, which act as a natural thermos, protecting the house from the cold.

To ensure that the walls stand level and do not lose their shape, wooden formwork panels are used, and for additional strength, horizontal wooden strapping is used.
Windows and doors can be built into the masonry immediately, but to ensure that the structure is strong, it is important not to rush: no more than three clay layers at a time, otherwise the will not have time to dry, and the wall may shrink.
Are there any difficulties?

As in any construction, there are some nuances. For example, you can’t build in winter – clay loses its plasticity in the cold and can crack.

In addition, accuracy is important: if the technology is not followed, the walls may shrink or even crack.
