Just a few years ago, this cute and cozy house would hardly have inspired delight in anyone. On the contrary, it was a sad sight: the roof had collapsed, the glass in the frames had been replaced by a draft, and the floors resembled a sieve.
An elderly couple once lived here, but as they got older they had neither the strength nor the desire to take care of the house. The result was desolation and almost complete destruction.
But fate decreed otherwise. The savior of the house was Anna Erman, a designer with a sensitive taste and a real feeling for old things.
The grassy beds looked like wild jungle. The bushes were intertwined with each other, like in a fantasy forest.
The house was built in the 70s and occupied only 76 m². On the plot there were also three dilapidated sheds and an old apple orchard.
Inside, everything looked pretty dreary, too. The walls were covered in mold, the furniture was broken or missing. And the floors are cracked.
Anna did not destroy, but on the contrary, she saved everything that could be saved.
She spent a long time looking for craftsmen who work with wood the old-fashioned way – and found them. The house was painted a rich yellow color.
The first floor houses a kitchen, a cozy living room, a dining area, and a bathroom. The second floor is occupied by two tiny bedrooms – but they manage to fit everything you need, even a full-size bed and a desk.
🚿 The bathroom is a special pride. Despite its compact size, there is a room for a cast iron bathtub, an antique chest of drawers, and curtains with a floral pattern.
