The teary-eyed woman wished for a cosmetic makeover, but she needed an interior transformation to regain her brightness. Vicky had lost touch with her own identity after years of focusing on the family she had built with her ex-husband and dealing with the emotional upheaval of middle age.

Day of the Makeover. Vicky’s feelings during the makeover day ranged from joy to worry. Sitting on the chair, she told Hopkins her story, and he listened attentively and sympathetically. His approach, which stressed natural beauty and personality, gave Vicky confidence that she was in capable hands.
