After their wedding, the Hollywood power couple spent a long time searching for their dream home. Finally, in May 2023, they purchased a massive estate in Beverly Hills for $60.8 million — paid in full. But following their breakup, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck put the luxury home on the market. Nearly a year later, the property remains unsold.
The mansion, sitting on a spacious lot, is listed for $68 million. However, the former couple can’t agree on the selling strategy. The 52-year-old Oscar winner is reportedly willing to lower the price to sell the home faster. Meanwhile, the 55-year-old actress and singer refuses to make concessions, despite the lack of buyer interest.

Realtors are trying to convince Lopez that the asking price is too high and should be reduced by at least 15% if they want to attract buyers. The main house includes 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms, with additional amenities like a pool and tennis court. Experts note that few buyers in today’s market have the budget for such a high-end property.
Adding to the challenges, home insurance costs are skyrocketing. Insuring a Beverly Hills estate of this caliber now costs around $500,000 annually. The situation was made worse by devastating wildfires that swept through California in January, leading to a sharp increase in fire insurance rates.

Lopez and Affleck had hoped to sell the home back in August of last year, just a month after it was listed. Despite renovations, they struggled to find a buyer. A couple from New Jersey was ready to purchase the property for $64 million, but the deal collapsed at the last minute due to the death of a family member.
“It would have been a miracle to sell this house in under 100 days,” noted real estate expert Jason Oppenheim. “Most properties of this size stay on the market for at least six months, often much longer.”
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck tied the knot in 2022, but in August of the following year, the Hustlers star filed for divorce — on their second wedding anniversary. The divorce was finalized in January. The former spouses reportedly reached a peaceful property settlement, though the details remain confidential.
