The reactions from her followers were astounding : some said 40+, others said 50+ , or even ” looks like she’s almost 60. ” One user guessed she was 58. In her next video, Emily revealed the truth — she just turned 36 .
She explained that her natural grey hair ( which started appearing when she was 19 ) and her tired appearance ( she was caring for a newborn) distorted her vision. Emily also stressed that she had never had any cosmetic procedures.
According to the blogger, distorted ideas about age are often formed under the influence of social networks, filters and cosmetic culture, where beauty is sometimes presented in unrealistic standards.
