My friend and I were having dinner at a fancy restaurant, and my friend suddenly noticed tiny black grains on the surface of the salad 😲😲 At first we thought they were chia seeds, but these balls started moving 😱 I called the waiter in horror 😲
After we realized what it was, we immediately went to the hospital 😱 I’m telling you too, and you be careful 😣😥 Continued in the article under the photo ⬇️⬇️
We just wanted to have a quiet dinner. Nothing special – a cozy restaurant in the city center, aromatic dishes, quiet music. But the evening turned into a real nightmare.
My friend ordered a salad with avocado and quinoa. Everything looked delicious until she suddenly froze with her fork halfway to her mouth.
“Do you see this?” she asked, pointing at something on her plate.
On the surface of the salad were tiny black grains that looked like chia seeds. For a second we even thought: “Maybe these are just spices or some trendy additive.”
But her face grew more and more tense.
“These aren’t seeds… Look, they seem to be… moving?”
We leaned closer – and the blood froze in our veins. These “seeds” were really moving. Small, almost transparent balls with dark dots inside… They were eggs. Eggs of some insect. Right in the food.
First there was shock, then a scream. The waiters ran up, tried to say something, but we were already calling an ambulance. We had no idea what kind of creature had laid eggs in the food, or if anything had gotten inside.
My friend started to panic, either from fear or from nausea.
At the hospital, they examined us, did tests, prescribed medications “just in case” and recommended monitoring the symptoms. And the restaurant… We wrote a complaint, of course.
They tried to justify it by saying it was a “technical failure” or “delivery of spoiled ingredients”, but we didn’t care. After such a dinner, it is impossible to regain trust.
Now every time I see chia, that evening comes before my eyes.
