It was ready to go to the dump, this old chair that had survived so many years. But something in me wouldn’t let it go. It wasn’t just furniture… It was part of my family history. I remembered the books my grandfather read, my mother’s quiet evenings and how I, as a little girl, fell asleep on it, listening to fairy tales. And I decided to save it.

I started by stripping off its old, worn fabric, sanding down the damaged wood 🪵, and then applying a coat of warm varnish that brought its beautiful brown hue to life.
He gradually got his life back.

The choice of fabric was key: I chose an elegant navy blue with exquisite geometric patterns. I spent several days sewing, adjusting, perfecting every detail.
And now, before my eyes, it has become unrecognizable – refined, modern, but still filled with emotion.

When I placed it by the window, I felt proud and tenderly nostalgic. This chair was not just restored: it carried all these stories within itself, ready to accept new ones.
Laughter, revelations, moments of calm… everything became possible again.

With him, I realized that we saved not only things, but also memories that seemed to have disappeared.Â
Today, this chair has become much more than just a seat: it is a living connection between the past and the future.
