My mother-in-law babysits my daughter every Wednesday, but then her behavior changes… I install a hidden camera… Shock
My mother-in-law insisted that she watch my daughter every Wednesday while I was working. But when my daughter started acting strange, I decided to install a hidden camera.
I wish I could say I was wrong, that my doubts were just the result of the stress of work and motherhood. But deep down, I knew I wasn’t making it up.
I have a four-year-old daughter, Beverly. My husband, Jason, and I both work full-time, so Beverly spends most of her time at daycare. It’s not ideal, but it works. She’s happy, and so are we.
One morning, as I was making breakfast, Jason reassured me: “Beverly is fine, she’s doing great in preschool.”
I answered, hiding my guilt, “I know, but I don’t want her to feel like we’ve forgotten her.”
A month ago, my mother-in-law Cheryl offered to take Beverly away for one day a week so she could take a break from daycare and spend time with her family. I agreed, relieved that my daughter would be with her family.
At first, everything was going well. Cheryl would come pick up Beverly, and she seemed happy. But gradually, I began to notice changes.
That night, I decided to set up the hidden camera I’d used when Beverly was a baby.
But the next day, when I was watching the video while working, I was shocked…
Before installing the camera I imagined different things, but not this. The video left me speechless, I couldn’t even speak.

One night, Beverly told me that she only wanted to eat with her dad, grandma, and a friend. When I asked who that friend was, she just smiled mysteriously.
Then she whispered something to me that sent shivers down my spine: “Mom, why don’t you love our friend?” And she added that this friend was part of the family, although I hadn’t seen her yet.
An uneasy feeling was growing inside me. When I asked Cheryl about it, she brushed off my questions, talking about imaginary friends, children.
But something was wrong. That night, I decided to set up the hidden camera I used when Beverly was a baby again.
The following Wednesday, I watched the video while working. At first, everything seemed normal: Beverly was playing, Cheryl was reading.

Cheryl then started talking to Beverly about this mysterious friend, saying that “our friend” was coming soon and that she wasn’t allowed to tell her mom anything.
I felt my heart sink.
When the doorbell rang, Cheryl went to answer the door, and there she was: Jason’s ex-wife, Alexa, who I thought was long gone from our lives.
Beverly ran towards her as if this was completely normal.
I rushed home with a heavy heart and found all three of them as if everything was completely natural.
Alexa was surprised to see me, but didn’t give me any convincing explanation.
Cheryl then coldly told me that I was a mistake, that the real family was Alexa and Jason and Beverly.
I lost my patience: “You manipulated my daughter!” I shouted at her. Cheryl responded with disdain.
I reached out to Alex, who admitted that Cheryl had convinced her that Beverly should recognize her.
I put an end to it by bidding them to see Beverly again. In the car, holding my daughter, I swore that no one would take her away from me.
Jason, after seeing these videos, promised that they would never see Beverly again.
