I thought everything was finally okay. After a difficult period, I found someone to look after my son – someone I thought I could trust.

One afternoon, as I was returning from work, I left my wife to do other things while this woman prepared lunch for my son. Everything seemed normal. My son was sitting in his high chair, waiting for his first bite.
I went over to help when suddenly our German Shepherd, usually so calm, started growing and blocked the passage.
He jumped with unexpected speed and force, knocking over the plate the woman had just placed on the table, spilling food across the floor.
At first I thought he wanted to eat it, but no… After he turned the plate over, he calmed down 😱
My heart was beating like crazy: was my dog crazy? But watching his behavior, I realized that he did not want to attack, but wanted to protect. He gently pushed the spoon away and persistently looked at the food, as if warning me of an invisible danger.
When I finally looked at what was on the plate… the shock was huge 😱
The babysitter added a substance that was supposed to make my son sleep longer – something that could have seriously harmed him.
If the dog hadn’t reacted, if I hadn’t come at that moment, my son could have eaten something dangerous.
That day, our German Shepherd became much more than just a pet: he became a true protector, a quiet hero who watched over my son when we couldn’t.
Since then, I have never looked at my dog the same way again. Every time I see him next to my son, I know he is on guard, ready to act to protect what is important.
