Bella Hadid’s serious illness worsens in bed with an IV drip

Bella Hadid, 28, announced on Instagram that her Lyme disease has worsened.

The top model shared photos taken over the past few weeks. Judging by them, she barely gets out of bed.

Even when at rest, Bella requires IVs and an oxygen mask.

Hadid also uses ice as a treatment.

In one of the shots, the star is captured in the corner of the elevator: she sat down and huddled, holding a glass in her hands.

“Sorry I’m always missing, I love you guys,” the girl wrote.

Bella’s sister Gigi was one of the first to support her in the comments: “I love you! I hope you feel as strong and healthy as you deserve soon!”

The model has been battling Lyme disease since childhood.  Lyme disease is caused by  a bacterium transmitted to humans through the bites of infected ticks. Left untreated, the infection can spread to joints, heart, and nerve symptoms, leading to death. Bella has repeatedly had to take extended breaks from work to recover from flare-ups.
