Maya, a twelve-year-old girl, was traveling alone for the first time. Her clothes were worn out, her sneakers were damaged, and she was clutching a small backpack containing two books, a broken phone, and a photograph of her deceased mother. A ticket provided by a charity so she could find her aunt in Brooklyn after her mother’s death.
No one on the plane noticed Maya except Victor Hale, a cold and ruthless billionaire. During an in-flight incident, Victor collapsed, suffering from a heart attack. Panic gripped the cabin, and the passengers froze.
