A blind grandfather asked his granddaughter to read him an old book he loved in his youth, but as she flipped through the pages, her granddaughter found something strange between them 😲😢

Grandfather lay on an old, creaky bed by the window. His face was pale, his wrinkled hands trembled, and his eyes hadn’t seen the light of day in a long time. In recent days, he’d barely gotten up, only occasionally asking for a glass of water or listening to his granddaughter read aloud to him.
One evening he called her to him with difficulty:
“Darling, get me that very book… it’s on the top shelf of the closet. I read it hundreds of times in my youth. I want to hear its voice one more time, while I’m still alive.”
The ten-year-old granddaughter carefully removed the thick volume with its faded cover, dusted it off, and sat down next to him. Her grandfather closed his eyes and smiled.
– Start reading, daughter.
The girl opened the book and carefully ran her finger along the lines, but suddenly she saw something strange between the pages.

– Grandpa, what is this? 😲😱
The yellowed envelope, sealed with sealing wax, Seemed alien and frightening to her. She picked it up and exclaimed:
The old man’s eyes snapped open, and a tear rolled down his cheek. His voice trembled:
“Could it be that… she really left him…”
“Who?” the girl asked.
“Your grandmother,” he whispered. “Just before she died, she disappeared from the room and said I would find her words someday. I’ve been waiting for this my whole life…”
The granddaughter carefully opened the envelope. Inside was a sheet of paper covered in neat, feminine handwriting. She began to read loud:

“My dear… When you find this letter, I will no longer be with you. I want you to know: I always loved you, even when I was silent, even when you were angry, even in your last moments. Don’t be sad for me. I will wait for you in heaven, and there we will meet again. You were my joy and my life…”
The granddaughter’s voice trembled, and the grandfather could no longer hold back his tears. He quietly whispered:
“She’s been calling me all this time… waiting… and now I’m at peace.”
The girl clung to him, and he, holding her hand, felt relief for the first time in years. Now he knew: soon they would be together again.
