Actress Isabelle Tate, who recently appeared in her first series role on ABC’s 9-1-1: Nashville, has died at the age of 23, her agency confirmed.
The McCray Agency shared the news on Instagram, saying, “We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to announce that Isabelle Tate passed away on October 19.”
Tate had a small supporting role in the pilot episode of the 9-1-1 spin-off, which premiered on October 9. Her agency noted that she “had a wonderful time” filming the series, adding, “I’ve known Izzy since she was a teenager and she recently returned to acting. She booked the first series she auditioned for, 9-1-1: Nashville.”
The post also expressed sympathy to Tate’s family, including her mother, Katerina Tate, and sister Daniella, thanking the show’s casting team for their support.

A cause of death has not been disclosed. Her obituary suggests that, in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory be made to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association, which supports research into inherited nerve disorders affecting the arms and legs.
Born and raised in Nashville, Tate graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in business. According to her obituary, she was a passionate and determined young woman, musically talented, and loved spending time with family and friends. “Isabelle was full of fire, a fighter, never making excuses for her challenges. She often wrote and recorded music with friends, but what she loved most was being with family. Her sister was her best friend and her mom her guiding light,” it reads.
9-1-1: Nashville is part of ABC’s expanding 9-1-1 franchise, following the original series starring Angela Bassett, which debuted on Fox in 2018 and moved networks in 2024. The franchise also includes 9-1-1: Lone Star, which premiered in 2020. The Nashville edition stars Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and LeAnn Rimes.
