A gorilla at a zoo suddenly lunged at a man in a wheelchair. Zoo staff tried to save the man, but something happened that stunned everyone.

This man visited the zoo every week. Before the accident, he worked there as a keeper: he knew every animal, fed them with his own hands, and talked to them like old friends. Somehow, they always responded to him.

After retiring, he continued to come every Saturday. He would stop in front of the enclosures, watch the animals play, eat, or sleep, and feel like he was still there.

That day, everything seemed the same… until it didn’t. A man was watching gorillas when one of the females approached, stared at him, and suddenly grabbed the handles of his wheelchair.

With astonishing force, she pulled him inside. Visitors screamed, staff rushed to help, but her strength was unstoppable. In an instant, the man was inside the enclosure.

“Quick! Get him out of there!” the guard shouted. The crowd held its breath. The old man remained motionless, knowing how unpredictable these animals were. He closed his eyes, convinced the end was near.

And then something incredible happened. The gorilla came up to him, looked at him tenderly, hugged him, and began to rock him gently… as if rocking a child.

The guards stood motionless. No one dared to speak. Until a trembling voice broke the silence:

“She remembers him.”

The gorilla sat the man back down on the chair and gently pushed him toward the fence. Workers ran in and carried him out. The old man was crying, but not from fear.

Because he recognized her. It was the same gorilla he’d saved from death all those years ago. And that hug was her way of saying, “I haven’t forgotten you.”
