Sarah Jessica Parker stepped out for a rare family night in New York City on Monday, joined by her husband of nearly three decades, Matthew Broderick, and their three children: son James, 23, and 16-year-old twins Tabitha and Marion.
The outing took place at the release party for Marc Shaiman’s book, Never Mind The Happy: Showbiz Stories From A Sore Winner, marking the family’s first public appearance together since 2022.
Sarah looked effortlessly chic in an all-black outfit, accentuated with a striking pearl necklace, while Matthew looked sharp in a red patterned suit. Their eldest, James, kept things casual in a gray T-shirt and black jeans, while Tabitha opted for a green sweater paired with black pants. Marion chose a beige blouse and blue jeans, rounding out the stylish family ensemble.
Tabitha and Marion were last seen publicly at the Smash Broadway premiere in April 2025, whereas James made a recent appearance with his parents at the Golden Globes in early January 2026, matching his father in a tuxedo with a standout white flower in the lapel.
During the event, Sarah was honored with the Carol Burnett Award and paid tribute to her family in an emotional acceptance speech. “To my beloved family, my brilliant husband Matthew Broderick, who has been my husband for just shy of 30 years,” she said. “And to the family we have made. Our divine James Wilkie, Marion, and Tabitha… I love you so deeply and admire the people you are becoming.”
While James has shown interest in acting, even starring alongside his father in Elsbeth in February 2025, the twins are less focused on Hollywood. Sarah told E! News she hopes her children pursue education and careers that feel meaningful to them. “I want them to be doing things that are exciting, challenging, hard, and gratifying, and ultimately able to support themselves emotionally and financially,” she explained.
Although the twins are not pursuing acting, they have developed a growing interest in fashion. “They like clothing, but it doesn’t dominate their lives,” Sarah shared with W Magazine. “They have ideas about how they want to feel and look, but they aren’t overly distracted by it.”
This outing highlighted the family’s strong bond, showing Sarah Jessica Parker as both a dedicated mother and a style icon alongside her husband and children.
