A Southwest Airlines flight descended into chaos after a heavily built passenger lost his temper during a dispute and was ultimately removed from the aircraft. The confrontation reportedly began when the man took issue with another passenger speaking to his wife.
The incident, filmed by fellow travelers on December 15, quickly spread across TikTok and Facebook. The footage shows the enraged man yelling at an elderly passenger, tossing food at someone else onboard, and repeatedly making threats as airline employees tried to calm him.

“I’ll meet you at the gate,” he could be heard shouting.
The muscular passenger was escorted off the Southwest flight following the heated exchange

Although not every detail leading up to the altercation is clear, the video captures a man wearing a gray Under Armour shirt and a white baseball cap standing up from his seat while a female flight attendant hovered nearby. He was aggressively shouting at an older man seated behind him, prompting the elderly passenger to raise his arm in self-defense.
“I’m just protecting myself from this man,” the older passenger explained.
Rather than easing the tension, the comment appeared to inflame the situation further. The bodybuilder pointed at him, hurled insults, called him a “nut job,” and accused him of “running your f**king mouth.”

He then grabbed his belongings, including a pizza box and a bag of food, and marched toward the front of the plane, continuing to shout. Moments later, he realized he had left his backpack behind and turned back, reigniting the conflict as another passenger mocked him.
A “dollar for a slice” joke sent him over the edge
As he returned to retrieve his bag, the person recording made a sarcastic remark.

“Dollar for a slice,” the passenger joked.
That single comment triggered another outburst. The angry man demanded the phone be put away, insulted the person filming, and stared straight into the camera, daring him to keep recording.
“Don’t make me throw my food at you,” he warned.
Seconds later, he did exactly that, tossing his to-go bag toward the cameraman.

A male Southwest employee rushed in to de-escalate, but the attempt failed. The passenger continued yelling threats and insults as he was escorted off the aircraft. Other travelers applauded as he was removed, though he turned back one last time to shout that he would “meet you at the gate.”
Online viewers couldn’t get enough of the pizza joke
Social media reactions poured in, with many users fixating on the now-viral “dollar for a slice” comment.
“Dollar for a slice, omg that’s my new ringtone,” one person wrote.

“How was the pizza?” another joked.
Some viewers questioned the authenticity of the incident, suggesting it may have been exaggerated for online attention. One commenter noted that videos like this often aim to spark debate over whether they are real or staged.
It is still unclear if police became involved after the man was removed from the flight.

The incident highlights a growing trend of in-flight aggression
While many found the situation entertaining, it also underscored a broader issue airlines continue to face: rising passenger aggression.

Similar incidents have been reported frequently. In September 2025, an American Airlines passenger was removed after telling a flight attendant to “shut up” during a safety briefing. In May 2025, another case made headlines when a woman was charged with felony child abuse after allegedly striking a child mid-flight following an argument.
The Southwest incident also comes during a period of change for the airline. Known for its open-seating policy, Southwest is set to end that system on January 27, 2026, allowing passengers to choose seats at booking instead.
“I would have opened the bag and started eating his food,” one amused commenter added.
