The actress spoke candidly about her sexuality during a preview clip from an upcoming episode of the podcast I’ve Never Said This Before with Tommy DiDario, which was shared with People magazine.
“As a 43-year-old woman, I’m really proud of myself for embracing my sexuality at this stage in my life,” Camp said. “Doing it publicly comes with criticism, judgment, and assumptions, but I feel strong for being honest about who I am. I’m proud to say I’m bisexual.”

Camp explained that she came to better understand her sexuality after experiencing what she described as a “major evolution” during her forties. She said she now feels proud that she chose not to ignore or fear those changes.
“There are moments when it feels risky and even a little scary, especially talking about it in such a public space,” she said. “But you only get one life, and I want to live it happily. That’s really what matters.”
The actress added that throughout her life she has had several moments where she believed she had everything figured out, only to realize later that she was still growing.
“You think you know exactly who you are and how your life will unfold,” she said on the podcast. “But I’ve had moments where things shifted and I realized I could keep evolving instead of settling into one version of myself.”
Camp said she hopes to continue learning and changing as she moves forward in life.

Her comments come after she made her relationship with writer Jade Whipkey, 24, public in May 2025. In a July 2025 interview with Cosmopolitan, Camp said she and Whipkey were surprised by the attention their relationship attracted.
“We were honestly a little taken aback by all the buzz,” she said at the time. “But there’s also been so much support, which we’re incredibly grateful for. It’s been really lovely to see.”
Camp was previously married to actor Michael Mosley from 2010 until 2013. She later wed her Pitch Perfect co-star Skylar Astin in 2016, though the pair separated in April 2019 and finalized their divorce later that year.
The actress first gained widespread recognition after starring in the 2012 musical comedy Pitch Perfect, which featured a cast including Rebel Wilson, Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, and Adam DeVine. She later returned for the sequels Pitch Perfect 2 (2015) and Pitch Perfect 3 (2017).

Her announcement comes three years after her Pitch Perfect co-star Rebel Wilson publicly came out and revealed her relationship with fashion designer Ramona Agruma, whom she later married. Wilson initially confirmed the relationship after learning that the The Sydney Morning Herald planned to publish a story about it.
At the time, columnist Andrew Hornery criticized Wilson for revealing the relationship before the paper could publish its report, but his remarks sparked widespread backlash online, prompting him to later apologize for the tone of his article.
