Harry Potter actor Warwick Davis began an affair with a hypnotherapist after his wife’s death.

Warwick Davis has found happiness after the death of his wife, Samantha. The 56-year-old actor is dating 40-year-old doctor Philippa Morris.

One of the most famous dwarf actors in film history became a widower on March 24, 2024 – his wife of 33 years, Samantha, died during spinal surgery. Warwick Davis grieved the loss. Now it has been revealed that the actor has found personal happiness again – he is dating a woman 16 years his junior.

Philippa Morris is a mother of two and a qualified hypnotherapist. She, too, experienced personal tragedy: her husband, the father of her children, died in his early 40s. Afterward, she completely changed her life – quitting her job at a car dealership where she sold luxury cars, moved from Essex to the west of the country, and focused on helping people overcome mental health issues and trauma.

In 2023, Morris opened a clinic in a seaside resort in western England, offering clients individual, rapid therapy sessions. Morris has developed a close bond with the actor’s children with Samantha—28-year-old Annabel and 23-year-old Harrison, who also suffer from dysplasia. The couple is known to have settled in a separate three-story house in the countryside. Davis affectionately calls his beloved “Sponge.” They are often seen together in the countryside, where the actor drives a Star Wars-themed sports car—a nod to the iconic franchise, in which he has played 12 different roles over the years.

“Warwick and Philippa often go out for lunch. It’s all very casual. Everyone recognizes the actor and comes up to say hello, but no one bothers them. We also see Davis alone. He often goes shopping at the local supermarket. They’ve been together for a long time and seem very comfortable. Despite their happy relationship, Philippa doesn’t seek the spotlight and prefers to stay out of the spotlight,” the Daily Mail quotes a source as saying.

The actor and doctor appeared together at last year’s BAFTA Awards ceremony. Warwick received a special award in recognition of his outstanding and exceptional contribution to film. He dedicated it to his late wife, Samantha, while also mentioning his new love.

“First and foremost, I’d like to dedicate this award and thank my wonderful wife, Sammy, who passed away almost a year ago. She always supported me in my career and encouraged me to seize every opportunity with both hands. Thank you to my children, who helped me through the toughest year of my life. A special mention goes to Sponge—she knows who I’m talking about. Thank you for showing me that life can still have meaning and for helping me learn to laugh and love again,” the Harry Potter actor declared on stage .

Philippa proudly watched Warwick at the ceremony at Windsor Castle, where the actor received an Order of the British Empire from Prince William. Davis was recognized for his achievements in acting and his work supporting people with dwarfism. Davis, along with his late wife, founded the charity Little People UK. The couple were also seen together at the Madness concert in Cornwall last July.

Incidentally, Davis’s career is also going well. It was recently announced that he has been cast as Professor Filius Flitwick, a Hogwarts teacher, in the upcoming Harry Potter series .
