Pete Davidson has unveiled a new face tattoo—despite reportedly spending years and hundreds of thousands of dollars removing much of his previous body ink.
The comedian was recently spotted showing off fresh lettering near his ear while in Las Vegas. The tattoo reads “Scottie” in bold black capital letters arranged vertically, partially hidden behind his sideburns.\

The new design appears to be a heartfelt tribute to his daughter, Scottie, whom he welcomed with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt in December 2025. The name also carries deeper meaning, as Davidson’s late father, firefighter Scott Matthew Davidson—who died during the September 11 attacks—was also known by the nickname Scottie.

Davidson kept things casual during the outing, wearing relaxed clothes and Crocs Classic Clogs while on stage. He was also seen with the tattoo in New York at a Crocs event celebrating individuality and playful self-expression, where he picked out pastel pink shoes featuring a Jibbitz charm of his own face.
The new ink comes after reports that Davidson has spent around $200,000 over six years removing many of his tattoos. According to sources, the process was part of a personal reset, with Davidson wanting a fresh start as his life and career moved in a more positive direction.

He has previously spoken openly about how painful tattoo removal can be, describing it as far worse than getting tattooed in the first place. During a television appearance, he warned anyone considering tattoos to be certain before committing, explaining that the laser process has been grueling.
Davidson also shared that becoming sober played a major role in his decision to change his appearance. Seeing himself differently after sobriety, he said, motivated him to make significant personal changes.
Back in 2021, he explained another reason for removing the tattoos: acting opportunities. Covering extensive body art for film roles often required hours in makeup, prompting him to simplify the process as he pursued more screen work.

Known for his humor, Davidson once joked that during removal sessions doctors would have to read each tattoo aloud before erasing it, leading to awkward and hilarious moments as he reconsidered some of his more impulsive designs.
While much of his old ink may be fading, it seems Davidson is still making room for tattoos that carry personal meaning.
