Jennifer Lopez found herself at the center of online criticism after a recent outing in New York City sparked accusations of diva-like behavior.
The 56-year-old star was reportedly seen waiting near the entrance of the Four Seasons Hotel on Wednesday while groups of people exited the building, seemingly allowing photographers outside to capture a clearer shot before she stepped out. Once the area had cleared, Lopez made a brief walk to her waiting vehicle, pausing to acknowledge fans with a quick wave before leaving.

Footage of the moment quickly circulated online, where some social media users mocked what they described as a carefully orchestrated paparazzi moment. Critics accused the singer of staging a dramatic entrance and called the behavior overly theatrical, while others joked about the short distance she walked to her car.

One viral reaction labeled the moment “peak celebrity culture,” while others questioned whether the situation appeared overly managed. Some commenters also joked about bystanders taking their time leaving the hotel lobby as Lopez waited nearby.
Representatives for Lopez have not publicly responded to the criticism.

The outing came as Lopez headed to a screening event for her upcoming Office Romance at AMC Newport Centre in Jersey City. For the appearance, the singer wore a belted fur coat layered over a brown skirt, completing the look with pointed heels and a matching clutch.
Later in the evening, Lopez appeared alongside her Office Romance co-star Brett Goldstein at a Netflix upfront event, where the pair drew attention for their playful interactions on the red carpet. The two have fueled speculation about a close bond following reports that they grew especially friendly while filming the project.
Lopez, who separated from Ben Affleck in 2024, previously praised Goldstein publicly, even naming him the best onscreen kisser she has worked with during a 2025 television appearance.
The upcoming romantic comedy, set to premiere on Netflix on June 5, follows Lopez’s character, CEO Jackie Cruz, as she falls for a younger employee played by Goldstein.
