When I was a kid, I did my homework at this table ☺️ After moving, my parents decided to keep this table, although it was in terrible condition 😯 Recently, I was visiting my parents and decided to transform the old furniture 😲 This is what I got 👇👇 Rate my work

Every time I come to my parents’ house, I find something that reminds me of my childhood. One of these things was the old desk where I used to do my homework.
This table served me faithfully while I lived with my parents. After I moved, it remained standing in the corner of the room.

Recently, when I was visiting my parents again, I had an idea: why not give this table a new life? It was in good condition, but it looked outdated and didn’t fit into modern interiors. So I decided to get down to business.
The table was originally dark brown. Its massiveness gave the room seriousness, but now I wanted to make it lighter and cozier. The choice fell on a milky shade – light, soft and universal.

I carefully sanded the surface to remove the old varnish, and then coated the table with several coats of milk paint. But simply repainting it didn’t seem to be enough.
I decided to add some personality to it: I painted delicate patterns and ornaments on the surface of the table – something between plant motifs and geometry.

To complete the look, I replaced the old handles with new, stylish and elegant ones. The only thing I left untouched were the table legs.
When the work was completed, I couldn’t stop admiring the result. The table, which had been standing in the room for many years, became a real decoration.
