Matthew and Maria Colonna-Emanuel from New York made an unexpected discovery when they uncovered an old safe on their property. Initially thinking it was just an electrical box, they decided to investigate further after a series of unusual events, including a deer sniffing the safe. With some effort and heavy tools, they managed to open it—only to find something that would shock them.

Inside the safe, they found a note with a neighbor’s address, leading Matthew to visit the neighbor and inquire about the safe’s history. To their surprise, the neighbor revealed that the safe had been stolen during a robbery on Christmas 2011, with its contents worth around $52,000.

Eight years later, the lost valuables were finally returned, and the couple, not hesitating to do the right thing, called the police and handed over the stolen jewelry.
