I’ve always dreamed of taking a bath in the fresh air, but the idea seemed like a pipe dream to me. Seriously, where am I and where are the movie scenes with steaming water, a glass of wine and a view of the mountains?
But it turns out that if you have a handy husband, dreams become reality.
One evening we were sitting on the veranda, and I said once again:
— How wonderful it would be to soak in a hot bath right under the open sky…
The husband didn’t answer, he just smiled mysteriously. And a few days later an old bathtub appeared in the yard, which we had once intended to throw out. There were stones, some pipes and even an old iron grate piled up nearby.
“What are you planning?” I asked curiously.
“Wait and see,” he replied, and with the air of a creator, he set to work.
A week later, my dream was standing in the yard – a bathtub heated by a fire! My husband laid a stone fireplace under it, made a reliable support and came up with a system for heating the water.
Now, even on cool spring evenings, one could relax in hot water, enjoying the smell of fresh air and the crackling of firewood.
And it also turned out that this structure is not only a place to relax, but also a great helper in the household. In the spring, when the water for irrigation is still icy, you can simply heat it in the bath and use it for the beds.
Now this is my favorite place in the yard, especially in the evening.
