Dennis Avner was born in the United States and lived in the small town of Suttons Bay as a child.
After finishing school, he became fascinated with tattoos and body modifications. It was then that he realized that his spirit animal was a tiger and decided to transform his appearance to become closer to his inner sense of self.
Avner has dedicated over 25 years to transforming himself into a tiger.
He has undergone numerous plastic surgeries: he has sharpened his ears, changed the shape of his nose and eyebrows with implants, injected silicone into his cheekbones, stretched his lips to resemble a cat’s mouth, and even replaced his teeth with special prosthetics that resemble tiger fangs.
He also had 18 facial piercings and six metal attachments on his forehead to which he could attach a fake moustache.
In 2005, Avner was entered into the Guinness Book of World Records as the person who has undergone the most surgeries to transform into an animal.
However, fame did not bring him wealth. He earned his living by performing in public, helping the elderly and doing home repairs.
By 2012, Dennis Avner’s life had become more complicated. His financial problems were becoming more acute, and his loneliness and social pressure were becoming more intense.
In November of that year, he was found dead in the garage of his home. It was later revealed that he had committed suicide at the age of 54.
