Man stopped at the border because he looked different from his passport photo.

Most of us agree that our passport photos aren’t particularly flattering. However, this idea was pushed to the next level by a traveler who was going to miss their flight since their previous photo looked so different from their current body.

They couldn’t identify him.

Tomi Grainger was about to fly from Sydney to Tokyo when the computerized system failed to recognize her face from their passport photo.
So the Australians almost missed their trip because airport security had to stop and question them.

Tomi, who is now 29 years old, publicly admits to having had plastic surgery, which resulted in a substantial variation in appearance from the 22-year-old shown in their passport. This is what caused anxiety among airport officials.

Soon after the incident, Tomi posted a video documenting the terrifying experience, which has received over 100,000 views and sparked a lively online conversation.

In the video, they stated, “You wouldn’t believe what just happened to me at Sydney Airport, and I’m low-key freaking out.” “My heart is still pounding.”

In an effort to resolve the situation, Tomi approached the officials and said that they had undergone plastic surgery, including a facelift.

Fortunately, the problem was resolved, and Tomi could take their flight.

This started an online debate.

The video triggered a protracted debate on social media, with users having extremely diverse perspectives on the matter.

Many people urged Tomi to alter their passport photo and understood how the airport staff reacted.
One reader screamed, ”That’s an entirely different person!” and another remarked, ”That’s what happens when you change your appearance and they can’t recognize you. “They were doing their job.”

However, some supported Tomi, and some could connect to the situation.

One reader said, ”It still looks like you if you look at your features carefully. “You just look younger in the photo.”
Another person commented, ”I have the same problem. I adore shouting, “Yeah, I’ve had a lot of work done,” at the top of my voice, and it usually encourages them to move on!
