Meghan Markle and Prince Harry typically keep their children out of the spotlight. Archie, 6, and Lili, 3, are only seen by the public on rare occasions, such as the couple’s Netflix documentary.
On Mother’s Day, May 11, the Duchess took a photo of herself holding both of her children in her arms in what appears to be the garden of their lavish Montecito house.
Happy Mother’s Day! “Cheers to juggling it all with joy,” the pleased mother captioned the photo. “And to these two gems – who still attempt to climb ‘mama mountain’, smother me with kisses, and make every day the most memorable adventure… being your mom is the greatest privilege of my life.”
She ended her piece with the following words: “I, too, ‘love you more than all the stars in all the sky, all the raindrops, and all the salt on all the french fries in all the world.'”
The children’s faces were not disclosed, but the snapshot sparked a curious new notion and numerous comments.
Archie’s big toe, in particular, drew a lot of attention. Some claimed the Duchess digitally manipulated it to draw attention.
One person re-shared the photo on X and asked, “Are we all now ignoring Archie’s toe?”
Another person asked a serious inquiry. Is this due to photo retouching, or is there a problem with his toe?”
A third person’s comment concerning Archie’s toe and Lili’s hair color, which does not appear to be red in the shot, fueled speculation over the validity of Meghan Markle’s Mother’s Day portrait.
“No one seems to have mentioned Archie’s very strange digital big toe?” they speculated. “Of course hair color is different, and Lili is a foot taller with different hair…” But that enormous toe—what were they photoshopping?!”
Another person commented: “The toe resembles a snout. Add 7-year-old limbs to Lili and Archie, who now have black hair and tawny skin.”Make it stop!”
Also, the photo of Archie on his birthday posing on the balcony elicited a lot of remarks. Someone else wrote: “I wondered if it’s meant to be Archie on a ‘balcony’ after the balcony scenes on this side of the Atlantic.”
