My husband and I recently completed building our cozy little dream house—just 18 square meters—and we’d love to hear what you think! It’s proof that a small space can still feel like home.
From the outside, the house has a charming studio-style look that blends beautifully into the landscape. We added a small patio with a wooden deck, some greenery, and winding garden paths to give it a welcoming touch.
Though compact, this tiny home is designed for comfortable living all year round. We usually use it as a guest house since our main home is close by, but it would make a perfect full-time residence or a serene vacation escape.
Inside, the layout is open and cleverly designed. The kitchen, bedroom, and living space flow together in a way that feels both practical and cozy. Every detail—like shelves, rugs, and coat hooks—was chosen to be both stylish and space-saving.
Despite the small footprint, the house has it all: a kitchenette, a full bathroom, a sleeping nook, and even a cozy corner for reading or watching TV. We made sure every inch was used wisely to keep it functional and clutter-free.
One standout feature is the insulation. Built with a “thermos” design, the 25 cm-thick walls and underfloor heating keep it warm and toasty even in winter.
The bathroom is compact but thoughtfully styled, and the kitchen has electric heating for extra comfort. We also added a nostalgic touch by reusing lighting fixtures from an old house we dismantled.
So, what do you think? Can a home this small still feel complete and full of charm? We think so—and we hope you do too!
