The girl was late for an interview because she helped an elderly person, but when she got to the office, she almost fainted from what she saw 😱😱

Anna was rushing to interviews. This wasn’t just a job, it was her dream job, a chance to change her life, to get out of the endless part-time jobs.

She had almost reached the intersection when she heard a scream and the noise of cars. On the other side of the street, an elderly man suddenly swayed, grabbed his chest and slowly collapsed onto the asphalt. Drivers honked, someone shouted from the windows, passersby hurried past, looking away, as if hoping that if they didn’t notice the trouble, it would disappear on its own.

Anna stopped. Her brain screamed, “You’re late! Run!” But she darted across the street and landed next to the man.

“Are you feeling unwell?” she asked in a trembling voice, placing her hand on his shoulder.

The old man was breathing heavily, his eyes half-closed. He pointed weakly to his pocket:

— Pills… in the wallet…

Anna held her breath and, with shaking fingers, began to rummage through his old leather bag. Finally, she found a tiny bottle. She quickly took out a pill, carefully placed it in the old man’s mouth and helped him swallow.

“Breathe… calmly … Everything will be fine,” she whispered, holding back tears and fear.

Several minutes passed. Gradually the man’s breathing became more even, his face regained its color. He opened his eyes and looked at Anna with gratitude.

“You saved my life…” he whispered. “How can I thank you?”

Anna smiled, but then suddenly jumped up, as if waking up:

– Oh God… I’m late…

She mumbled an apology and rushed toward the subway, her heart breaking with despair. That was it. The opportunity was gone. There would be no second chance.

But she still went to the office. Just to know that she did everything possible. When Anna finally got to the office, she almost fainted from what she saw… Continued in the first comment 👇👇

When she got to the reception area, the secretary smiled welcomingly and said:

– Sorry, but the management is a little late. You can sit down.

Anna barely held back a sigh of relief. She sank into a chair, clutching her briefcase to herself, and felt her tension gradually recede.

Half an hour later the door opened. Into the room walked… that same old man. Clean-shaven, in an elegant suit, confidently holding his cane. Anna froze.

“Good morning,” he said, addressing everyone. “I am the owner of this company. I apologize for being late. There was one… extremely important incident.

He turned to Anna, smiled and nodded:

— And here is the one who wasn’t afraid to stop when everyone turned away. The one who truly understands what responsibility, courage and humanity are. Anna, we would like you to start working for us as soon as possible. You have already proven that you are worthy of it.

Anna couldn’t believe her ears. Tears welled up in her eyes. She had saved a man… and unexpectedly saved herself.
