Prince William reportedly grew “ballistic” when he learned of reports that Meghan Markle was nasty to Kensington Palace servants.
RadarOnline.com can tell that the bombshell charges and ensuing “outburst” allegedly created a “major fallout” between William and his brother, Prince Harry.
These alarming allegations, revealed in Robert Lacey’s best-selling book Battle of Brothers, raise severe concerns about Meghan’s treatment of her crew, which were reported as early as 2017.
According to a Kensington Palace source, Meghan would begin sending a bombardment of emails at early. The insider shared: “Meghan would begin firing off emails as early as 5 am, leaving staff with a ‘barrage’ of messages in their inboxes.”
According to the book, the situation reportedly degenerated into a “really toxic environment,” with employees shivering before meetings with the Duchess, and one even developing post-traumatic stress disorder.
While Meghan disregarded accusations from a top aide, saying, “It is not my job to coddle people,” Prince William took the situation seriously.
Lacey writes that when Jason Knauf, a royal assistant who worked closely with the Sussexes, presented William a “dossier of distress” detailing the charges, he was “astonished” and “horrified” by what he heard. William’s fury originated from the long-standing royal habit of treating employees “like family,” and it was especially distressing for him because he knew many of those involved.
Lacey expressed her disappointment: “A tradition within the Royal Family had been broken.”
Following the shocking dossier revelation, William and Harry reportedly had a furious phone discussion, during which the Duke of Sussex defended his wife.
Roberts argued: “The moment the Prince heard the bullying allegations, he got straight on the phone to talk to Harry – and when Harry flared up in furious defense of his wife, the elder brother persisted.” The brothers’ relationship has been strained for years, with signs of disagreement showing as early as 2019.
In his documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, the Duke of Sussex provided light on their tumultuous relationship, saying, “You have good days, bad days.” However, tensions rose dramatically in 2020, when Harry and Meghan declared their intention to take down from senior royal roles.
In a subsequent Netflix documentary, Harry said William yelled at him during the Sandringham conference.
Their most recent public reunion was during Queen Elizabeth II’s burial in September 2022, though they did attend a private meeting for their uncle Robert Fellowes earlier last summer. Knauf emphasized the emotional tension between the brothers, saying, “The estrangement between the two princes had been ‘hard and sad.'”
