A few months after the birth of our first child, we started looking for housing.
But our budget was too limited, even for a small apartment.
So we expanded our search… and found a completely destroyed building.
Despite his anxious state, we immediately sensed his potential .
Since we couldn’t afford to hire professionals, we took matters into our own hands.
The roof was in a state of disrepair, so we decided to build an additional floor.
First we had to sort out all the administrative paperwork.
We then refinished the floors 🪵, built a veranda and renovated every corner with love.
Our goal was not to modernize everything, but to preserve the traditional Hungarian charm.
We restored an old brick oven, refreshed old furniture and gave it a new life.
This project taught us everything. Today, every wall, every detail of our home bears our imprint – the imprint of our hands and hearts.
At first we lived there only in the summer until the renovation was completed. Then we moved to a permanent place of residence.
During this time, our second child was born, and we began to love life in the village.
We even created a small garden just for us.
Our little house has become our little paradise.
Proof that when you put your heart into something, anything is possible.
