One day, an elderly couple decided to downsize and move into a simple but cozy tiny house. Now that both their children have grown up and started their own families, they decided to move closer to them.
Their tiny home, originally built by Liberation Tiny Homes, is located in Tiny Estates Village in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. The home has a picturesque view of a pond, where the couple can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Before purchasing the home, it had been used as an Airbnb rental for about two years. The home is only 8.5 meters by 2.5 meters, and Bonnie and Ty are more than happy with their choice.
The interior is done in a rustic, farmhouse style, which was to the taste of the spouses who love cozy rustic aesthetics. The living area is equipped with two armchairs, which allows them to relax and enjoy the rest in the room.
Adjacent to the living room is a small dining area with a side table attached to the wall. To make the most of the space, the table has a bench that tucks neatly underneath when not in use. At the far end of the house is the bathroom, which is thoughtfully separated by a sliding door to save space. It has all the essentials: a toilet, a shower, and a small sink.
The final feature of their tiny home is the sleeping loft located above the kitchen and bathroom. It has a comfortable double bed with convenient remote control lighting, and windows on both sides provide a refreshing breeze.
Although Ty, who stands at 6’1″, had a hard time adjusting to the low ceiling in the attic at first, he and Bonnie have adjusted to the compact space and are now enjoying the peace and quiet that their tiny home provides.
Living in this home has given them the opportunity to live a minimalist lifestyle without sacrificing comfort. They are now happily settled and appreciate the simplicity of their new lifestyle.
