An 8-year-old boy who was traveling alone sat next to me on the train: I called the conductor to find his parents, but then something terrible came to light 😢😱

I was traveling home from a business trip that day. It was cloudy, the train was rocking slightly, the carriage was half empty. I was sitting by the window, looking at the gray sky and thinking about how fast life was rushing by when someone sat down next to me.

I turned around – a boy of about eight. Alone. Without parents, without a bag, only with a backpack on his knees.

– Hello. Who are you with?

He shrugged.

– I’m going to my grandma’s. Mom told me to wait for her and… left.

– When was this?

– An hour… two hours ago. I got on the train, like she said. And she didn’t come back.

There were no tears in his eyes. Just tiredness. As if he knew this would happen.

I immediately felt terribly uneasy. The boy was traveling to another city all alone, and his mother had disappeared…

I immediately called the conductor. He looked at the boy, then at me, and suddenly turned pale.

– You again, your mother, didn’t she come back for you?

The child didn’t answer. I decided to ask the conductor what was going on here.

– This… this boy… He’s been riding the train for two days now and says his mother will be back soon, but I still haven’t seen her. At the first stop, I call the police.

🚨 It turned out that his mother left him at the station and disappeared. Later it turned out that she ran away from her aggressive husband, the boy’s father, and wanted to hide her son with his grandmother.

But she couldn’t – she got scared and disappeared, and she simply put her son on the train, without even trying to find out what would happen to him.

We found the grandmother. She came, hugged the boy with tears.

And I… I was next to the guy all this time so that he wouldn’t be left alone.

Almost a year has passed since that incident, and the boy and I communicate very often. They are still looking for his mother, but to no avail.
