A blind grandfather asked his granddaughter to read an old book he had loved in his youth, but as she flipped through the pages, she found something strange hidden between them 😲😢
The grandfather lay on his old creaky bed by the window. His face was pale, his wrinkled hands trembled, and his eyes hadn’t seen the light for years. In his last days, he barely got out of bed, occasionally asking for a glass of water or listening as his granddaughter read aloud to him.
One evening, he struggled to call her over:
“Sweetheart, get me that very book… it’s on the top shelf of the wardrobe. I read it hundreds of times when I was young. I want to hear its voice one last time, while I still can.”
The ten-year-old granddaughter carefully took down the thick volume with the faded cover, dusted it off, and sat beside him. The grandfather closed his eyes and smiled:

“Start reading, my dear.”
The girl opened the book and carefully traced the lines with her finger, but suddenly she noticed something strange hidden between the pages.
“Grandpa, what is this?” 😲😱
It was a yellowed envelope, sealed with wax, looking foreign and intimidating. She picked it up and exclaimed.
The old man’s eyes snapped open, and a tear rolled down his cheek. His voice trembled:
“Could it be… she really left it…”
“Who?” asked the girl.

“Your grandmother,” he whispered. “Just before she passed away, she disappeared from the room and said that one day I would find her words. I’ve waited for this my entire life…”
The granddaughter carefully opened the envelope. Inside was a sheet of paper, written in neat, feminine handwriting. She began reading aloud:
“My dearest… When you find this letter, I will no longer be by your side. I want you to know that I have always loved you, even when I was silent, even when you were angry, even in my final moments. Do not grieve for me. I will wait for you in heaven, and there we will meet again. You were my joy and my life…”
The granddaughter’s voice quivered, and the grandfather could no longer hold back his tears. He whispered softly:
“She was calling me all this time… waiting… and now I am at peace.”
The girl leaned into him, and he held her hand, feeling relief for the first time in many years. Now he knew: soon, they would be together again.
