While many people in their 90s struggle to walk, let alone engage in exercise, Takishima Mika, a 90-year-old, defies all expectations. She trains every day and even works as a personal fitness instructor, guiding others to improve their health and strength.
Interestingly, Mika was not always an active person. In her younger years, she struggled with obesity and had little interest in sports. It wasn’t until she was diagnosed with obesity that she decided to change her lifestyle. At the age of 65, she embraced fitness and began incorporating regular exercise into her daily routine.

Initially, her goal was to lose 30 pounds. With determination and the support of her family and friends, she achieved her target over the course of five years. Along the way, she discovered a love for sports and physical activity, which inspired her to continue training and eventually become a fitness instructor.
Despite her demanding schedule, Mika maintains remarkable energy and discipline. She sleeps from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m., giving her just four hours of rest, yet she remains vigorous throughout the day. Her afternoons are spent managing household chores and performing weight training exercises. She occasionally watches television while maintaining perfect posture, enjoys a light lunch, and takes a short nap to recharge.

Her day doesn’t end there—she continues with exercise, fitness sessions, and computer work to improve her English. Evenings are reserved for a relaxing glass of wine with dinner, a small but well-deserved reward for her hard work.
Takishima Mika’s story is a true testament to determination, resilience, and the fact that it’s never too late to transform your life. At 90 years old, she is living proof that age is just a number, and she inspires countless people to pursue health and vitality at any stage of life.
