Khaby Lame, the most-followed creator on TikTok, has finalized a massive business move, selling his company, Step Distinctive Limited, in a deal valued at approximately $975 million, according to a public SEC filing.
The viral star—best known for his silent, deadpan reactions parodying overcomplicated “life hack” videos—sold the company that oversees his global brand and commercial ventures to Rich Sparkle, a Hong Kong–based, publicly traded holding firm.
As part of the agreement, Lame approved the use of his likeness, voice, and behavioral patterns for the development of an AI-powered digital twin. This virtual version of the influencer is intended to produce multilingual, around-the-clock livestream e-commerce content across different time zones.

In a statement released by Rich Sparkle, the company projected that the partnership could generate more than $4 billion in yearly revenue. The transaction will be completed through the issuance of 75 million ordinary shares of Rich Sparkle stock.
Despite the sale, Lame will remain closely involved. The structure of the deal allows him to retain a controlling interest in Step Distinctive, expanding on the 49% stake he previously held and keeping him at the center of strategic decisions.

Lame’s rise has been nothing short of remarkable. In 2022, he surpassed Charli D’Amelio to become TikTok’s most-followed user, reaching a record 142.8 million followers—a milestone recognized by Guinness World Records. Since then, his following has grown by nearly 18 million more.
Named one of PEOPLE’s Creators of the Year in 2024, Lame has spoken openly about his journey from factory work to global stardom. He has shared that his first major purchase was a larger home for his family, emphasizing that despite his success, supporting them remains his top priority.
