Nicola’s sister Brittany, 35 — a mother of two who is known to be close to the actress — posted an Instagram message that many have interpreted as subtle encouragement. The post read: “That dream was planted in your heart for a reason. Trust it.”

Nicola, 31, comes from a large family of eight siblings: eldest brother Matthew, 41; model and actor Will, 39; ice hockey player Brad, 35; interior designer Brittany; entrepreneur Diesel, 31; and twins Zachary and Gregory, 22.

It was recently revealed exclusively that Nicola and Brooklyn, 26, are eager to start a family together and envision having both biological and adopted children. In Brooklyn’s explosive six-page Instagram statement last month — in which he publicly criticised his parents — he notably referenced his “future family” with Nicola.
Sources say the couple have had multiple discussions about raising a child who is not biologically theirs. One friend explained that the topic is something they are completely united on.
“They both want a big family, and adoption has always been part of that vision,” the source said. “They’re very aware of the privilege they come from and feel strongly about giving a disadvantaged child the best possible start in life.”

The friend added that the conversations have been ongoing and deeply considered. With Nicola having recently dropped to around 90lbs for a demanding film role, carrying a biological child in the near future is reportedly not feasible.
Brooklyn’s references to “future family” and “future children” in his statement were described as deliberate. David and Victoria Beckham are said to be excited by the idea of becoming grandparents and even wondered if Nicola might already be expecting after reading his words.
“As very family-driven people, the idea of being excluded from a grandchild’s life would be devastating,” the source said. “The thought of learning about an adopted baby through Instagram is incredibly painful for them — but sadly, it’s a real possibility.”
The couple’s desire for children is not new. Back in 2022, Nicola told The Times that Brooklyn wanted kids “immediately,” adding that they both hoped for a large family, influenced by their own upbringings — Brooklyn has three siblings, while Nicola has seven.
Brooklyn, who has spoken openly about his struggles with anxiety, has reportedly been estranged from his parents for more than eight months. He is also said to be out of contact with his brothers Romeo and Cruz, and even his younger sister Harper, though he did speak with his grandparents over Christmas.

Last year, he allegedly asked his parents not to contact him directly, effectively issuing a cease-and-desist request. David and Victoria themselves were young parents — 23 and 24 — when they welcomed Brooklyn.
In his emotional statement on January 20, Brooklyn wrote: “My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy, and happiness for us and our future family.”
Now living in the US with Nicola, Brooklyn has reportedly blocked his parents and siblings on social media. This move came shortly before his public accusations against them, including a claim that Victoria behaved inappropriately at his wedding — an allegation that sparked a wave of online backlash and AI-generated memes targeting the former Spice Girl.
Neither David nor Victoria have addressed the feud publicly, though friends have spoken on their behalf, describing the situation as heartbreaking. The Sun has since released a documentary titled Inside The Beckham Feud, now streaming on its showbiz YouTube channel.

Brooklyn’s statement also included references to “blood” family — a notable detail given the adoption discussions. He alleged that relatives told him Nicola was “not blood” and therefore “not family,” and claimed his parents pressured him to sign away rights to his name, potentially impacting Nicola and any future children. Friends of the Beckhams have disputed this, describing it as a misunderstanding over legal technicalities.
A source summed up the situation as deeply tragic, noting the irony that public support has surged on both sides. Brooklyn’s following has grown significantly, with Gen Z rallying behind him and Nicola, while David and Victoria have also seen an outpouring of sympathy in the UK.
“Victoria’s beauty brand sales have jumped as fans show their support,” the source said. “Never has this family felt more relatable — it’s just heartbreaking that it’s happening under such painful circumstances.”
