Nicole Kidman’s marriage to Keith Urban — which lasted nearly two decades — reportedly ended in September 2025, with their divorce finalized in January.
On Sunday night, the actress sparked buzz after sharing a behind-the-scenes clip from her series Scarpetta, currently filming its second season. In the video, Kidman and Simon Baker stood close together while co-stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Bobby Cannavale announced that production was underway. Nicole rested her hand on Simon’s shoulder as he placed his arm around her waist, creating a warm and affectionate moment.
“Hi everybody! We are the cast of Scarpetta, and guess what? Season… dos!” Jamie told viewers. Nicole responded with an excited dance and a playful scream, while Simon smiled and laughed at her enthusiasm before they exchanged a knowing look.
“We’re in the middle of it. We’re having such a good time, thanks so much for your loving support,” Jamie added. “We’re so grateful,” Nicole chimed in. Jamie then teased that someone important was about to appear, prompting Nicole to jokingly cover her mouth to keep the surprise secret. “Oh, Nicole Kidman put her hand over my mouth!” Jamie joked.

The pair’s affectionate interaction quickly caught fans’ attention. Many flooded the comments with reactions, with one writing, “Give me Nicole and Simon all day!” while another added, “They make a cute couple.”
Kidman and Baker have known each other for decades. She has long been close to his former wife, Rebecca Riggs, and is even the godmother to their son, Harry.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Nicole revealed she had long wanted to collaborate with Simon and personally asked him to join Scarpetta. She said the timing felt right, as he was at a stage in life where he could take on new opportunities away from home.
She also reflected on her close connection to his family, noting that she had grown up alongside Rebecca, to whom Simon was married for 29 years. The couple separated in 2020 after raising three children together.

The renewed attention around Nicole and Simon comes shortly after her reported divorce from Keith Urban, which was finalized in January 2026. The pair had quietly separated months earlier after nearly 20 years of marriage.

Despite the split, Urban appears to be focusing on music. His friend and fellow country singer Russell Dickerson recently said the musician remains upbeat and is channeling his energy into new creative projects, adding that he’s excited to hear what Urban releases next.
